A new repeater site, VK5ROC, went into full operation in February 2007 with a 70cm repeater, after about a year of running in a trial configuration.

The repeater tower is 53 metres tall and is located at the rifle range to the west of Lower Light with the antenna perched right on top. It is possible to work the repeater as far as Elizabeth on a handheld transceiver so coverage is good so get the yagi out if you are a bit further away and give a call you never know who could come back.
