The WIA Sunday morning broadcast is relayed at 9am every week on some of the clubs repeaters. The EARC runs Packet Radio digipeters on varous modes and bands.

The EARC is experimenting with 2.4GHz networking in association with Air-Stream who are a community based Wide Area Network. The EARC's equipment is part of the Air-Stream network which is growing all the time and is under constant development. The EARC is looking forward to using the High Speed connectivity for club activities. Who knows, our meeting might even be streamed over the WAN or a backbone for the Sunday morning broadcast. For more information check out the air stream website.

Access Point:
Sector Horizontal Polarization - East
Omni
Vertical Polarisation - East to South West

The EARC has had use of the water tower for 20+ years. The tower is located on Kettering Road , which runs behind GMH. It was built in the 40's as a head of pressure for the surrounding districts. But today things have changed with both commercial radio equipment and the clubs Amateur equipment installed in and on the tower.

In the centre of the tank there is a windup tower with the 2m receive antenna and a 2m yagi. Fixed down a bit lower are the 70cm repeater antenna and the higher frequency beacons. Around the rim are various packet antennas and 6m repeater antenna.

Level Five of the tower contains the repeater equipment and various antenna poked out the windows. Including all the WIFI networking, the 1.2GHz voice repeater and several other antennas.

A new repeater site, the VK5ROC 70cm repeater when into full operation in February 2007 after about a year of running in a trial configuration. The repeater tower is 53 metres tall and is located to the west of Lower Light with the antenna perched right on top. It is possible to work the repeater as far as Elizabeth on a Handheld Transceiver so coverage is good so get the yagi out if you are a bit further away and give a call you never know who could come back.

Two Articles have been published in AR regarding this repeater's antenna; dig out the August 2006 and the April 2007 editions for more info.
